Molasses and anise come through deep and rich before the sea salt kicks in on the finish, which keeps every bite interesting. I've been grabbing a piece after dinner instead of dessert and it actually satisfies that craving without being cloying.
The salt hits right at the back of the tongue before the sweetness kicks in, and the chew is firmer than most licorice I've tried. I keep grabbing another piece even though I told myself just one.
The molasses and anise come through nicely, and that sea salt spark really does wake up the flavor. I'd give it five stars, but the pieces are a bit softer than I was expecting from a licorice. That natural coloring without the traditional dyes is a definite plus, though.
