Our Pure Kosher Sea Salt infused with house-fermented garlic and Burlap & Barrel's Buffalo Ginger, an heirloom variety grown in Northern Vietnam. Featuring a slightly sweet umami flavor with a punchy hit of ginger.
I used it as a finishing salt on roasted vegetables, and the umami kick is present without being overwhelming. That said, the ginger is more subtle than I hoped for, so it feels more like a standard garlic salt with a slight twist. Fine for the price, but I don't see myself repurchasing.
The flavor is definitely unique—that sweet umami from the garlic comes through nicely, and the ginger adds a subtle kick. But I found the salt itself a bit too coarse for finishing dishes, so it doesn't dissolve as evenly as I'd like. It works fine in a marinade, just not what I expected for everyda
