I used it as a finishing salt on roasted vegetables, and the umami kick is present without being overwhelming. That said, the ginger is more subtle than I hoped for, so it feels more like a standard garlic salt with a slight twist. Fine for the price, but I don't see myself repurchasing.
The flavor is definitely unique—that sweet umami from the garlic comes through nicely, and the ginger adds a subtle kick.
