I've been salting pasta water by eye for years and always ended up oversalting, but this disc takes all the guesswork away. It's simple to drop in the pot and the results are exactly right every single time, even for vegetables. Worth every penny for the convenience.
Surprised by how well these large salt discs dissolve—dropped one in my pot and the seasoning came out even, no more overseasoned spots. Takes a bit of getting used to figuring out how much you need for smaller batches, but for pasta it's spot on and a nice change from measuring spoons.
